Rapport is security software that helps to protect a customer’s identity and other personal information from thieves online. For our online and business banking customers only, it stops financial malware and phishing attacks. It adds a critical layer of security without replacing or interrupting the customer’s other anti-virus software, such as Norton or AVG. It’s quick and smart and updates in the background. No need to restart your computer.
Who is Trusteer?
An IBM company, Trusteer is the leading provider of cybercrime prevention solutions that protect organizations against financial fraud and data breaches. Hundreds of organizations and millions of end users rely on Trusteer to protect their computers and mobile devices from online threats that are invisible to many security solutions. First National Bank has been working on this agreement and its implementation for more than a year. Our testing shows that Rapport will operate quietly and in the background without slowing down our customers.
Passwords to remember?
No. When a customer chooses to accept Rapport, it downloads and then operates in the background to secure personal data.
Is it required?
Yes, for our business customers. All business customers who use online/business banking will be required to download Rapport to reduce the customer’s risk against hackers. All other bank customers who use internet banking are encouraged to download Rapport, because it can protect them too. But at present, only business customers who bank online will be required.
Cost to the customer?
Zero. FNBT customers will receive Trusteer Rapport as a value-added benefit to all account holders. We take this matter seriously because we consider protecting your money as Job 1.
