Featuring Tuttle’s story in images dating from 1871 to the present, the new Tuttle Then and Now Gallery is an interactive art show. Bankers worked with seven historians, three historical societies, eight photographers and three vendors to create the finished exposition at FNBT Tuttle.
In all, 43 images greet bank visitors as they enter every space in the new First National Bank & Trust Co. in Tuttle – including offices, lobbies, the community room and restrooms. Each image has a QR code printed on the frame that when scanned with a smartphone leads the viewer to a feature page on FNBT’s website. That page displays a little history on the image, as well as featured news from FNBT.
Like no other gallery in Oklahoma, this unique exhibit is designed to engage and inform while building community pride.
These images tell a bit of Tuttle’s rich past and give a colorful salute to Tuttle’s future. This project was accomplished with cooperation from bankers, the Grady County Historical Society, the Tuttle Historical Society, and the Oklahoma History Center.
